Living the bachelor apartment life in Cornwall, ON without any external antenna capability permitted so I'm on-the-air with my 1992 Yaesu FT-470 2m/70cm HandiTransceiver and my 3-band (6m/2m/70cm) 2010 Maldol EX-510B antenna magnetically mounted by my 2015 OPEK Tech AM-1045B NMO on top of my car.
I have an APRS station as an iGate now using callsign VE3XID which can be seen on APRS.FI (https://en.aprs.fi/info/a/VE3XID) operating my 1997 Realistic HTX-242 2m Mobile Transceiver with my 1990 MFJ-1270B TNC2 Clone Packet Radio Modem connected to my 2017 Lenovo ideapad 310-15ABR Notebook computer via my Staples Prolific PL-2303HXD chipped USB to Serial COM Port adapter into my 1985 SincLabs 5/8-wave for 2m mobile antenna on coil spring NMO magnetic-mount standing next to my south-facing 1st floor living room window powered by my 2006 Alinco DM-330MV switching-type supply.
I have my 2016 Yaesu FT2DR 2m/70cm YSF (Yaesu System Fusion) HandiTransceiver using C4FM Digital and APRS with GPS using callsign VE3XID-7 which can be followed on APRS.FI (https://en.aprs.fi/info/a/VE3XID-7) or an APRS program installed on your Microsoft Windows computer, Linux computer or Android smartphone.
I still have my EchoLink Node 43998 using VE9MHZ (because K1RFD refuses to give me a node number for VE3XID until VE9MHZ is removed from my radio licence as per USA FCC rules) so I can be found splitting my time between VE3IWJ-R Node 158695 and *IRELAND* Conference Node 2605.
